Rebuilt tape edge machine with a stainless steel table

NovaStar is our own machine brand. A new NovaStar tape edge machine is specified here rather than bought off a list: we set the table size, the sew head class, the lift range, the corner control and the electrical supply before it is built, so what arrives is the machine your line needs rather than the one that happened to be in a catalogue.

A new machine suits you when you want a known specification, a full set of spare parts from day one and a machine every operator on the floor can be trained on the same way. Where a rebuilt machine is the better buy, we will say so.

What to look for

Specify the table first

Full, queen, king, or queen with extensions to king. This is the one thing you cannot change afterwards.

Specify the head

Class, speed and needle system, so your existing needles and your existing mechanic both still work.

Specify the lift

Give us the tallest mattress you close, uncompressed. Height is where used machines disappoint people.

Specify the supply

Voltage, phase and frequency at the plant. The machine is built for it rather than adapted to it.

How a new machine is specified for your line

  1. Spec the table Full, queen, king, or a queen with extensions to king, and a stainless or painted top.
  2. Spec the head Class, maximum speed and needle system, so your needles and your mechanic both still work.
  3. Spec the controls Lift range, motorized head tilt, and a separate straight speed and corner speed.
  4. Factory test The machine is run before it ships, and we send you the video walk around.

Tell us the largest mattress you close, the tallest, and your voltage, phase and frequency. That is enough for us to specify a machine and quote it.

New or rebuilt

Buy new when

  • You want a known specification you can repeat on a second machine later.
  • You want a full set of spare parts from the first day.
  • Every operator on the floor should be trained on the same machine.

Buy rebuilt when

  • You already run American iron and your mechanic knows it.
  • You want a heavier frame than a current production machine.
