Conveyors and flip over machines
A fixed head, a belt that carries the mattress, and a flip over unit so nobody turns a king by hand.

Automatic conveyor tape edge machine with a flip over unit
On a conveyorized machine the sew head stays put and a belt carries the mattress past it, so the operator stops walking the perimeter. An automatic arm squares the mattress at each corner, and a flip over unit turns it for the second face. People buy these machines for the handling as much as for the speed.
These are the largest machines we sell and they need real floor. Tell us your daily count, your mattress sizes and heights and the space you have, and we will tell you honestly whether a conveyorized machine or a well rebuilt table is the right answer.
What to look for
Ask what the control is
A PLC and a touch panel nobody supports any more is a problem you inherit. Ask what is fitted.
Look hard at the flip over unit
It is the most heavily worked mechanism on the machine and the first thing to check on a used one.
Ask how the units per hour were counted
One face or both. It changes the figure by half.
Measure the floor first
Footprint and belt height, plus clear space to load and unload at both ends.

How these machines differ from a table
On a walk around table the mattress is still and the sew head travels. On a conveyorized machine that is turned around: the head is fixed and a belt carries the mattress past it, so the operator stops walking the perimeter.
An automatic arm squares the mattress at each corner and the belt takes it back into the seam. Once the first face is closed, a flip over unit turns the mattress so the second face can be sewn without anybody lifting it. That flip is the reason most people buy one.
Video available, ask us. We will send you the walk around.
The specifications to ask for
- Mattress height range the machine will accept.
- Conveyor speed, and whether straight and corner speeds are set separately.
- Head lift range and tilt range.
- Units per hour, and whether that figure assumes one face or both.
- Air supply and total electrical load.
- Supply voltage, phase and frequency.
- Overall footprint and belt height, because these machines need real floor.
- Control: PLC, inverter and touch panel, and whether remote support is available.
Tell us your daily count, your mattress sizes and heights, and the space you have. If a well rebuilt table is the better answer we will say so.
