OUR OWN SHOP
Rebuilt in our own shop in Roebuck, South Carolina.
Everybody in this trade uses the word rebuilt. Here it means one thing, and it is the same thing on every machine.
Stripped to the frame, rewired, painted, run under power, crated. We rebuild James Cash, United, Spuhl Anderson, Porter and Atlanta Attachment machines, and we rebuild customer owned machines as well as our own.
Every photograph on this site is the actual machine, in our shop.
- Strip to the frame Head off, carriage off, wiring out. This is where we find out if the frame is straight.
- Machine and replace wear parts Track, bearings, clutch, lift screws and pivots measured, then replaced or machined back.
- Rebuild the sew head Off the machine, on the bench. Wear parts replaced, hook and feed reset, timed and run.
- Automotive paint Frame, table and carriage, with a hardened anti rub surface so the top still looks right in a year.
- Run and test under power Carriage walked round, corner control set, lift cycled, head sewing. Then it is crated.

NovaStar is our own machine brand. We set the table size, the sew head class, the lift range, the corner control and the electrical supply before the machine is built, so what arrives is the machine your line needs.
